Hapū Ora's approach to training and development for rangatahi looks to help them within and beyond care

Emergency Support

Rapid Response Team same day anywhere in the motu for up to 14 days.

Assessments

(Clinical or Psychological) and Cultural.

Transition

Between 16.5 years and 18 years old.

RESET

From 3 to 6 months to assist tamariki/rangatahi to stabilise behaviour.

Kahui Whānau

Matua Whangai.  Placement beyond RESET program for tamariki/rangatahi.  Graduation from RESET to returning to school or getting a job or enrolling in an apprenticeship and living in a kaupapa Māori environment with whānau.  Usually, no placement term is specified.

Recruitment

We work with Rush Recruitment who specialise in contracted labour hire, full recruitment and search. They offer assistance to transitioning rangatahi who are interested in getting access to mahi.

Marsden Hulme

Marsden’s career has taken him from working as a police officer in Auckland to senior leadership roles with Telstra Australia and US based companies including Sitel Corp, Cisco Systems and Vivint.

With a broad skill set, encompassing Operations, BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), Workforce Management and Contact Centre Operations, Marsden’s entrepreneurial ventures include consumer electronics, telecommunications and renewable energy.

Married for 30 years with four children, Marsden co-founded Hapū Ora with a vision to assist tamaiti in care in returning home to take their rightful position with safe and loving whanau.
